Synopsis

The Shaman´s Journey is a story about cultural heritage and generational conflicts.
The Shaman´s Journey is the personal story of the Director of this documentary and his research of an ancestral tradition rooted long centuries ago, the Shamanism.
These stories are set in a very small town called Tucume, located in the dry forest of the north coast of Peru. Tucume is a magical place governed by Purgatory Hill.
The main character of this documentary is the filmmaker. He carries over his shoulders the responsibility to be the successor of the most famous family healers in the north of Peru over five generations.
Through those family stories, the filmmaker shows us the human side of this ancestral profession, which moves between two worlds.
